A little something...

Jacira Araújo is an Angolan actress and singer of German and Indian descent. Whilst growing up between Angola, the UK, and the US, Jacira cultivated her passion for the arts at an early age by performing in school theater and musical productions as-well as music showcases.

She made her professional acting debut on stage at the LaMaMa Theater in New York City, in the off-Broadway musical Cherchez la Femme (2016) written by August Darnell and Vivien Goldman.

Jacira then began focusing increasingly on music, returning to acting in 2018 with her TV debut in the popular Portuguese tele-novela Alma e Coração written by International Emmy award winner, Pedro Lopes.

Having been involved with the humanitarian organization UNICEF, and non-profit organizations such as the Make-A-Wish foundation and the Houston-Luanda Sister City Association, Jacira seeks to continue fighting for and cultivating educational change by providing resources to all children in her home town of Luanda, Angola.
